为何首长只是要关注民众的声音，何不直接召开听证会释疑？
由於未能回复民众的疑问，以致槟城环球城中城计划(PGCC)这个庞大的发展计划继续引起民众提出各项疑问。
为何许首长不联同发展商召开一项公开听证会来答复人民的所有疑问？尽管首长说他可以针对反对声浪，与发展商一起主办对话会等，不过他同时也举例人民在1970年对光大计划及槟岛外环公路的反对，许首长要借此传达人民的反对是没有依据的。
可是许首长忘记今日的光大却是在走下坡，办公室的出租率严重打击，所以今天还会有谁认为光大是一个规划良好的设计呢？
其实光大计划根本未全面完成，相信是政府也看到这个计划对乔治市交通带来的负面影响，且光大出租率的奇差也打击投资。
许首长是否可以将所有不受欢迎的计划归灸于其首长敦林苍佑吗？许首长曾怪责林苍佑批准类似面对土崩威胁的垄尾住宅计划，可是他本人会否在上京担任部长前，批准槟城环球城中城计划，使槟城人面对另一个(40个？)光大计划带来的痛苦？
Why CM Koh only want to monitor public's feedback and not hold a public hearing?

The mammoth PGCC project had attracted queries simply because the parties queried refused to answer the queries. So why don't the CM hold a public hearing with the developer around to answer all the queries? While the CM said he can organsie a dialogue with the developer he is simultaneously claiming that the objections against komtar, porr etc in 1970'S were groundless. But Penangites had seen the better days of the ailing KOMTAR where occupancy has been going down inexorably. Who will still insist that KOMTAR was well conceived and well designed? In fact the entire KOMTAR project is not even completed yet -due presumably to the fact that the government itself had seen the disasterous effects it could have on the city's bad transport situation, and the poor response to KOMTAR's excess office space could not be more encouraging for further investments! Could CM Koh be doing a Lim Chong Ewe-where the succesor to the previous CM simply blame all unpopular projects on approval by his predecessor? CM Koh had been quick to blame the Tun for disasterous project like the Paya Trubong houisng areas which are still plagued by landslides! Could he sign on the PGCC as his last rite to go on a Federal Ministerial post -and leave Penangites to suffer another(40 more?) KOMTAR for decades to come???? Watch out!
