除了设计有缺陷，有很多其他因素可造成事发，比如不良的巴士维修、巴士组装欠佳、新巴士的品管、一些司机的疏忽，巴士站的欠佳安全措施造成的破坏巴士事件等；其中一些因素是刑事疏忽，快捷通亏欠人民对其操作新巴士的信任，有必要对事件作出公信力的答复。

RapidPg was hardpressed to explain how one of its brand new bus can open an emergency door by itself and caused a person to fall from it and die. It could not explain it -so it tried to pass the buck to the manufacturer. Other than design fault there could be numerous factors which caused the mishap eg the notorious bad maintenance of the buses; bad assembly of the buses; lack of quality control of the new buses at delivery(compare to proton); the recklessness of some drivers; the bad security around the bus station which could allow sabotage/vandalism etc etc. Some of these are outright criminal negligence! RapidPg owes it to the public who entrust them to operate the new vehicles, to come out with a credible answer to the mishap!

Emergency Door Incident: RapidPenang To Get Bus Maker's Services
PENANG, Oct 16 (Bernama) -- RapidPenang Sdn Bhd will get the services of the bus manufacturer concerned to find out how an emergency door could open on its own.
The company had sought the assistance of DRB Hicom Defense Technologies Sdn Bhd in investigating the incident, said state traffic management, information and community relations committee chairman, Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan.
"We want to know how the emergency door could open on its own as checks made by the bus company showed that it was secure and safe," he told reporters after a check on RapidPenang buses here Tuesday.
